The National Monuments Service's description
On semi-karst elevated ground in rough pasture, within an extensive multiperiod field system (CL009-084001-) and with a disused mineshaft immediately to the W (indicated on the 1897 OS 25-inch plan and the 1920 ed. of the OS 6-inch map). This fulacht fia comprises a grass-covered, horseshoe-shaped mound (13.5m N-S; 8.4m; H 0.6-1.05m) of burnt stone and ash which is open to the NNW. A later cairn of unburnt limestone covers much of the S side. Some burnt limestone is mixed into the later cairn’s W side, under which the fulacht fia is traceable for a distance of 4.5m. There is an enclosure (CL010-055----) c. 110m to the S.
