The National Monuments Service's description

On slightly raised ground c. 30m to the N of Lough Avalla, with a small spring well against its W edge. Indicated on Robinson’s (1977) map. Listed as ‘Fulachta fia’ in the RMP (1996), in reference to this and another fulacht fia (CL010-104002-) c. 20m to the SSW, and possibly a third nearby according to a map annotation by Tom Coffey (SMR file). This fulacht fia comprises an overgrown mound (12m N-S; 12m E-W; int. H 0.6-1.1m; ext. H 0.9-1.4m) with an opening (4.4m E-W; 2.3m N-S) to the W. There are facing stones (H 0.2-0.3m) along much of the mound’s edge.
