The National Monuments Service's description
On level ground in a slight hollow within an area of rough pasture and hazel. There are cliffs to the W and N, and the ground to E is slightly higher. Indicated on the 1842 and 1920 eds. of the OS. In combination with an adjacent enclosure (CL010-100001-) c. 18m to the WSW, named ‘Carrachantaggart’ on the 1897 OS 25-inch plan and the 1920 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and ‘Cathracha an tSagairt’ on Robinson’s (1977) map. The name may also refer to a mass rock (CL010-100003-) marked on Robinson’s map a short distance to the N. This large subrectangular enclosure (int. dims. 62m NNW-SSE; 41m ENE-WSW at centre) is defined by a double-faced wall (Wth 0.9-2.4m; int. H 0.4-0.8m; ext. H 0.4-1.6m) and associated collapse. At the S a drystone wall (H 0.6-1m) is built over the enclosure wall, while at the E a single drystone wall (H 1.8m) is built along the perimeter. A rectangular structure (CL010-100005-) is built against the inner wall-face at the W end of the N side.
