The National Monuments Service's description

A ‘herdsman’s house (ruins)’ was reported by Tom Coffey by annotating a 6-inch map at ITM 528796, 697148. No remains were found at that location on inspection in 1999. However, a ruined house is visible c. 300m to the NNE on the OSi MapGenie orthophotos (2012-2018), at ITM 528936, 697449, and it is possible that this is the house to which he referred. It was a three-roomed house with small extensions, marked on all editions of the OS 6-inch maps.
