The National Monuments Service's description
On a SE-facing slope in undulating semi-karst land, commanding wide views out ENE-SW and within an extensive multiperiod field system (CL010-064001-). Indicated on the 1842 and 1920 eds. of the OS 6-inch map, and named ‘Mohernaglas’ on the 1897 OS 25-inch plan and 1920 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. Named ‘Mothair na Glaise’ on Robinson’s (1977) map. Listed as ‘Rectangular enclosure’ in the RMP (1996). This disturbed subcircular enclosure (int. diam. 23m E-W) is defined at S-W by a stony bank (Wth 2.4m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.3m) with an outer facing. Most of the wall overlying the perimeter (ESE-W) is modern, and the rest of the enclosure has been removed. Westropp (1896, 365) suggested that the enclosure was not very ancient, and he found ‘a series of slabs set on end all round the interior with their edges to the wall’, and an entrance at the W. There is a ruined modern house immediately to the E, and a hut site (CL010-241----) c. 50m to the NW.
