The National Monuments Service's description

In high (between the 400’ and 500’ contours) level, rough pasture with extensive views to E and W, within an extensive, multiperiod field system (CL009-084001-). Indicated on both the forst edition (1842) and later Cassini edition (1920) of the OS 6-inch map. Listed as ‘Enclosure’ in the RMP (1996). This poorly preserved subcircular cashel (int. diams. 45m N-S; 40m E-W) is defined by a double-faced stone wall (Wth 1.1m; int. H 1-1.5m; ext. H 0.4-0.6m). The inner wall-face is poorly constructed or broken at N, generally built of uncoursed flagstones at S, and appears to have been rebuilt at E. Less of the outer wall-face survives and a later wall (H 1m at W) is built over the cashel wall. The interior slopes to the SE and a poorly preserved, grass-covered, internal dividing wall runs NNE-SSW across the E sector. Grass-covered field walls radiate from the cashel at WSW and NW. A possible enclosure (CL010-047023-) lies c. 50m to the SW.
