The National Monuments Service's description

In the interior of Caherwalsh (CL009-059045-). The grassed-over foundations of a D-shaped structure (int. diam. c. 3m) abutting the E end of the N wall of the cashel. Another structure (CL009-275----) lies c. 8m to the E in the corner of the cashel and two similar structures (CL009-276---- and CL009-277----) occupy the SE corner. A number of possible house sites (CL009-059123-, CL009-271----, CL009-272---- and CL009-273----) also lie within the interior of the cashel.
