The National Monuments Service's description
On a knoll in undulating pasture within a large multiperiod field system (CL009-059001-). This subrectangular cashel (34.9m NW-SE; 32.4m NE-SW) is defined by a wall-face (H 0.4-0.8m) surviving to two courses backed by grass-covered stone packing/spill (total Wth 1-1.9m). The top of the wall-face is generally flush with the level interior. The SW quadrant of the cashel appears to have been altered. Extending from the cashel interior here is a subrectangular area (10m NW-SE; 5-9m NE-SW) defined at E and W by low grass-covered stone walls. This area appears to have been incorporated into the cashel, as there is no evidence of the original line of the cashel wall here. Several low grass-covered collapsed walls traverse and radiate from the cashel.
