The National Monuments Service's description
On the S side of a broad hill in rough pasture and karst limestone, wide views E-W, and within a large multiperiod field system (CL009-032001-). Indicated on the OS 25-inch plan (1897) and 1920 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. This subcircular enclosure (44.3m E-W; 43.5m N-S) is defined by the barely traceable remains of a double-faced stone wall (H 0.2-0.4m; Wth 1.8m) at E, and elsewhere by a moss-covered stone spread (H 0.3-0.4m; Wth 2-2.5m) which is widest (4.8m) at S. A later drystone wall (H 0.8-1.4m; Wth 0.6m) is built on the stone spread. In the centre of the enclosure there is a likely natural stony rise (diam. c. 8m; H 0.2-0.3m). Extending ENE from this is an overgrown gryke (L 5.4m; Wth 0.9m; max. D 0.5m) with a tumble of stones at its E end.
Cashels (CL009-069002- and CL009-064001-) lie c. 38m to the NE and c. 163m to the WSW respectively and appear to be integrated within a shared field system (Bowmer 2019, 73).
