The National Monuments Service's description

On a gentle SW-facing slope in a grass-covered karst landscape in rough pasture, within a large multiperiod field system (CL009-059001-). Indicated on the OS 25-inch plan (1897) and the 1920 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. This small subrectangular cashel (int. dims. 15.7m E-W; 14.1m N-S; ext. dims. 21.1m N-S; 20m E-W) is defined by a double-faced stone wall (Wth c. 1-1.6m; int. H 0.6-0.8m; ext. H 0.8m). The stones of the flush outer wall-face are quite large (L c. 0.5m; H 0.5m). Rubble (H 0.3-0.6m) is accumulated against the inner and outer wall-faces (total Wth 2-2.7m generally, max. 4.3m at S). A partially collapsed later drystone wall (Wth c. 0.5m; max. H 0.8m) is built over the cashel perimeter, mostly on the outer wall-face. There are animal entrances over the wall at N, SW and W.

A hut site (CL009-241----) lies c. 102m to the ENE.
