The National Monuments Service's description

Situated at the bottom of a N-facing slope in a field of pasture. Much exposed pavement to W, N and S. Listed as ‘Hut site’ in the SMR (1992) and the RMP (1996) as it was indicated on a Geological Survey map. On inspection in 1997 it was found to be an oval shelter (int. dims. 3m E-W; 2m N-S) of modern construction with an opening (Wth 0.6m; H 0.85m) at ESE. The walls (H 1.4m) are of loose stone and there is some corbelling. Collapse from the top lies in the centre.
