The National Monuments Service's description
On a gentle S-facing slope of karst pavement with patchy grass cover, within a large multiperiod field system (CL009-059001-). Listed as ‘Enclosure’ in the RMP (1996). This D-shaped hut site (int. dims. 8.2m E-W; 4.8m N-S) with a straight N side is defined by a double-row of large stones set on edge. The two rows maintain a consistent distance apart (1m). The E arc of the hut site’s wall is not clear. The stones in each row are slightly spaced apart, and set with their long axes along the perimeter. The stones of the inner row are larger, with the largest stone (max. L 2m; H 0.8m; T 0.3m) at N. This stone incorporates a tennon-like extension down from its base, which slots into a N-S gryke that extends under the wall. The continuation of this gryke was modified into a souterrain (CL009-059053-) in the NE interior of the hut site.
A cashel (CL009-059054-) lies c. 34m to the N and another cashel (CL009-059056-) lies c. 55m to the SE. An enclosure (CL009-178----) lies c. 78m to the NE.
