The National Monuments Service's description
In undulating pastureland within a large multiperiod field system (CL009-059001-). Listed as ‘Potential site – aerial photo’ in the RMP (1996), this record relates to a possible enclosure that was noted on a high-level Geological Survey of Ireland aerial photograph (GSI R151/152). On inspection in July 1997 it was not visible at ground level. However, a roughly circular feature (diam. c. 30m) visible on more recent aerial imagery dated 2005 (OSi Ortho_ITM) may be it. Archaeological testing carried out c. 35m to the NE of the site, in relation to the extension of a house, identified no archaeological remains (Delaney 2009, 26, No. 101). A cashel (CL009-059003-) lies c. 75m to the NE and another one (CL009-097----) lies c. 170m to the WSW.
