The National Monuments Service's description

In scrubland on the N side of the floor of Poulacarran valley. Listed as ‘Potential site – aerial photo’ in the RMP (1996). This rectangular cashel (45m ENE–WSW; 33.4m NNW–SSE) is defined by double-faced stone walls (Wth 1m; max. H at N 4m; H at S 1m) made of large horizontally laid stones. A later drystone field boundary overlies the E side. A stone spread (Wth c. 1.5–2m) is visible at the base of the wall internally. Outside the SE corner a more extensive stone spread (Wth c. 6.5m) is probably due to the more recent collapse of a higher section of the wall. The interior is overgrown with ferns and grass. The remains of a structure (CL009-050001-) lie in the NW corner.
