The National Monuments Service's description
On karst high ground at the E edge of a plateau within a multiperiod field system (CL009-032001-), with land sloping very steeply into a valley to the E, and also dropping (H c. 4.5m) to the S, to a lower promontory of the plateau. This three-sided NNW–SSE-oriented megalithic structure (est. c. 1.8m N–S; 1.5m E–W; max. H 1.1m) is constructed of upright limestone slabs which form its W, N and E sides; the S side is open. The W side comprises two NNW–SSE-oriented slabs (L 1.8m; max. H 0.6 and 1m respectively) set parallel to one another within a gryke (with a smaller upright slab (L 0.7; H 0.5) similarly lodged immediately to the N). About 1m to the E and also oriented roughly N–S lies the structure’s E side, another upright slab (L 1.1m; H 0.7m). The N side is also defined by a single slab (L 1m; H 1.1), which appears to have been moved out of its original position and is oriented ENE–WSW. The megalithic structure was incorporated into a later N–S drystone wall.
An enclosure (CL009-045002-) lies c. 10m to the S, and immediately beyond that lies Lissaniska cashel (CL009-045----), c. 52m to the S of this megalithic structure.
