In a prominent, highly visible location on a N-facing slope at the N edge of a plateau, with land falling away steeply into a ravine c. 45m to the N and c. 42m to the E, within a multiperiod field system (CL009-021001-). A small flat-topped, grassed-over, circular cairn (diam. at base 4m; diam. at top 1.8–2m; H 0.3–0.5m).
There is a dense concentration of enclosures, houses, hut sites, cairns and associated field boundaries in this area, dating from prehistoric to post-medieval periods (Grant 2010, 47). An enclosure (CL009-021022-) lies c. 143m to the WSW.
