The National Monuments Service's description
Situated 7m to the W of the rock-cut fosse at Binroe castle (CL009-014002-), at the S edge of the Ballymahony plateau, with ground falling steeply to the S and E. Listed as ‘Earthwork’ in the RMP (1996). A small building (18m NE–SW; c. 10m NW–SE) of which barely traceable stone wall footings survive. The SE wall and the S end of the SW wall are not extant. Given its orientation and size, this may be a 19th-century building which is indicated on the 1897 OS 25-inch plan (but not on the 1842 ed. of the OS 6-inch map).
