The National Monuments Service's description
Situated close to a road in an area of level ground. Listed as ‘Chapel’ in the SMR (1992) and the RMP (1996). On inspection in 1998 this was found to be a late 18th century chapel. Local information attested that it was the last thatched chapel in Ireland.
