The National Monuments Service's description

Situated at the N edge of a limestone plateau with the land falling away to the NE. The area is grass-covered with large glacial erratics scattered about. A circular enclosure (diam. NW-SE 85m) defined NNW-S by a substantial, moss-covered, collapsed stone wall (H 0.7m; Wth 4.1m) and from S to NNW by a low, wide earthen bank (ext. H 0.28m; int. H 0.62m; Wth 5.65m). Some possible external stone facing occurs from W to NW for c. 11m. At NE there is evidence of internal and external stone facing with a fill of medium sized boulders. A large flat slab (Wth 2.05m; H 0.63m; T 0.25m) is used as internal facing at the point. A possible entrance (Wth 4.8m) occurs at SSW. The interior is very uneven with much moss-covered natural outcropping rock. The enclosure is not immediately apparent on the ground but is visible on a high altitude Geological Survey aerial photograph (GSIAP, R 12/13) and on Digital Globe aerial photography. It is indicated by a curved line on the most recent OS maps but not indicated on any earlier editions. A field boundary that appears to be later bisects the enclosure from SW to NE and continues NE. Again this is clearer on the aerial photographs. A drystone-walled enclosure (CL009-001044-) lies c. 10m to the E. Both enclosures lie within a field system (CL009-001001-/CL005-116---*/CL008-045001*).
