The National Monuments Service's description
On a slight knoll, on an elevated plateau of undulating karst pasture, within a large field system (CL009-001001-), with views of Slieve Elva to the NNW and an ENE–WSW ridge c. 500m to the S. A D-shaped hut site (int. dims. 8.3m E–W; 6.6m N–S; ext. dims. 10.1m E–W; 8.7m N–S) defined by a grass-covered collapsed wall (H 0.2-0.6m; T 0.7-1.4m), with a straight N side (L 10.1m) and no visible entrance. Westropp (1915, 52) described it as a ‘house ring’ with walls built of ‘large oblong blocks, now rarely a yard high, 3 feet thick’. There is a possible souterrain (CL009-001038-) in its centre.
An enclosure (CL009-001004-) lies c. 30m to the WNW, Cahermakerrila cashel (CL009-001005-) lies c. 144m to the ENE and a fulacht fia (CL009-233----) lies c. 130m to the SSW.
