The National Monuments Service's description
In rough pastureland and limestone pavement, within an extensive multiperiod field system (CL008-109001-). This subcircular cashel (int. dims. 30.5m E-W; 29m N-S) is defined by a low double-faced stone wall (Wth 2.8m; H 0.35m) and associated tumble (combined Wth 3.3m), with the wall faces visible around the perimeter. There is an entrance (Wth 2.6m) at the SSW. A NW-SE curving wall (Wth 0.8m) extends across the SW interior forming a roughly oval area (18m NW-SE; 8m NE-SW), itself bisected by a very low NE-SW wall. A smaller triangular area (6m N-S; 6m E-W), lies immediately E of that, also against the perimeter of the cashel. Field walls extending NW-SE radiate from the cashel exterior at the W, S and E. There is an enclosure (CL008-005----) c. 75m to the E.
