The National Monuments Service's description

In undulating rough pastureland with limestone outcrops with wide views to S-W and within an extensive multiperiod field system (CL009-001001-). Not listed in the SMR (1992) or the RMP (1996). Thought locally to be a fulacht fiadh, this site comprises a subcircular area (16.5m N-S; 14.5m E-W) defined by a broad, low bank (Wth 3-9m; int. H 0.4-0.6m; ext. H 0.2-0.5m) of earth and stone, but no evidence of burnt stone was visible when inspected in 1998. The sunken, nettle-covered interior (6m E-W; 4.5m N-S) is lower (D c. 0.5m) than the surrounding ground outside.
