The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture near a W-facing slope, with higher ground to the E and wide views to W-N. Named ‘Caher’ and indicated with an OS trigonometrical station (OD 339’) in the S sector on the first edition (1842) of the OS 6-inch map, and also named 'Caher' and partially hachured on the later, Cassini edition (1920) of the map. A small, almost circular area (13m N-S; 12.5m E-W) is defined SSW-SE by a low earth and stone bank (Wth 1.5m; max. int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.6-0.8m), and by a faint, low scarp (max. H 0.1m) SE-SSW. Several large boulders (possibly field-clearance material) lie on the bank at W. The W sector of the slightly undulating interior is crossed NNW-SSE by a later earthen field boundary.
