The National Monuments Service's description
On a low rise, in undulating pastureland and limestone outcrops, within a field system (CL009-001001-). Marked on Robinson's (1977) map. This cashel was probably originally subcircular in plan (c. 41m ENE-WSW; c. 34m E-W) but an ENE-WSW running road cuts through its SE limits giving it its present roughly D-shaped outline. It is defined by a collapsed and grass-covered stone wall (Wth 1.2m; av. int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.7m) and associated tumble (combined Wth 2.5m) from S-N-SE. The outer wall-face survives to two/three courses high from WSW-NW. Small animal gaps run through the wall from N-SE. There is a house site (CL008-054002-) in the N half of the interior. Its W wall continues running in a southerly direction (L 17m), almost bisecting the interior of the cashel. A shorter length of similar collapsed and grassed-over walling (L 5m), running NE-SW, is visible in the S sector to the E of this wall.
