On fairly level ground in an area of partly cleared rough pasture, scrub and karst outcrop, within a large multiperiod field system (CL008-109001-). Hachured on the 1897 OS 25-inch plan and 1920 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. Listed as 'Enclosure' in the RMP (1996). This subcircular cashel (int. dims. 19.75m NNW-SSE; 18.5m NE-SW) is defined by an overgrown bank of limestone rubble (Wth 7m; av. int. H 0.25m; ext. H c. 1m) in which short lengths of the wall-face and rubble core are intermittently traceable at N, NE and SE, surviving to two/three courses in height. At N a second outer wall-face can be seen at intervals, c. 3-4m outside the main outer wall-face. This appears to be a revetment for a terrace, built in order to strengthen or shore up the cashel wall on the sloping ground.
