The National Monuments Service's description

On a N-facing slope in rough pasture and outcropping limestone, within a local relict field system (CL008-016001-) and a larger multiperiod field system (CL008-109001-). Hachured on the 1842 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. Listed as 'Enclosure' in the RMP (1996). This almost circular cashel (30.9m N-S; 29m E-W) is defined by a double-faced stone wall (Wth 1.3-2.1m; int. H 0.8m; ext. H 1.4m), which from SW-N survives to five/six courses in height. A spread of collapsed material (Wth 1-2m) is visible at the base of both wall-faces. From N-ENE the wall is reduced to a low overgrown bank, while from ENE-S only the outer wall-face is visible beneath a later field wall. From S-SW the wall is straight (L c. 20m) and here again only the outer wall-face can be traced. There is a house site (CL008-016006-) in the S sector of the undulating rocky interior. Another cashel (CL008-016004-) lies c. 74m to the S.
