The National Monuments Service's description
On a natural N-S running scarp in a partly cleared area of rough pasture and limestone outcrop, within a relict field system (CL009-004001-) and a larger multiperiod field system (CL008-109001-). Hachured on the 1842 and 1920 eds. of the OS 6-inch map. This subcircular cashel (25.5m E-W; 24m N-S) is defined by the fragmentary remains of a double-faced stone wall. From N-SE all that survives is a scarp (H 0.4m) with intermittent traces of the outer wall-face, one to two courses in height. At S the wall is overgrown but the outer wall-face (H 0.8m) is visible. From SSW-NNW the inner wall-face (H 0.25m) is visible and also survives from one to two courses in height. A low overgrown stony bank (Wth 2m) runs along the perimeter of the site. The raised interior slopes gently to the S. A modern NW-SE running farm track crosses it from N-ESE, levelling the enclosing element. There is another cashel (CL008-004003-) c. 92m to the WNW and a possible structure (CL008-150----) c. 22m to the NE.
