The National Monuments Service's description

On a terrace on the SE slopes of Ailwee Hill at the base of a steep rock face formed by the stepped limestone pavement. A low subcircular mound of burnt stone (10m x 8m; H 0.8m) between two small walled-off water enclosures. An active spring is located within 5m of the mound. Another fulacht fia (CL006-214----), also fed by a spring, lies c. 25m to the NE. This monument was reported to the National Monuments Service by Michael Gibbons.
