The National Monuments Service's description
In a small hollow in karst landscape, in gently undulating rough pasture, with limited views of the surrounding topography. Depicted on the 1842 edition of the OS 6-inch map as a circular enclosure and named ‘Sheep Fold’. It is a triangular-shaped area (14m N-S; 13m E-W) defined by the remains of a collapsed wall (int. H 0.55m; ext. H 0.8m; T 2.5m), the lower portion of which is sod-covered. The construction of the upper row of stone (visible above the sod layer), consists of individual wall elements set upright on edge with some tall vertically set stones sticking out like jagged points. The interior appears to be cut into the hillslope along the S side where some of the wall has collapsed inwards. It is generally level yet with an uneven surface due to scattered boulders from the collapsed walls. A large enclosure (CL006-188----) is just c. 8 to the W and a small enclosure (CL006-156----) is c. 68m to WSW.
