The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a gentle E-facing slope in improved pasture. Listed as ‘Hut sites’ in the RMP (1996). ‘Old habitation sites’ were recorded in 1994 (pers. comm. T. Coffey, SMR file). This area is depicted on the 1842 and 1916 eds. of the OS 6-inch map as an area of small fields with houses close to the roadside to the E, which were occupied in 1842. The area has been cleared, apart from one of the houses, now derelict. The houses date to the 18th/19th centuries.
