The National Monuments Service's description
On SW end of a low narrow NE–SW ridge overlooking another cashel (CL006-036004-) c. 150m to NNE and separated from it by improved pasture, both of which are within a wider field system (CL006-036001-). Indicated on the 1915 ed. of the 6-inch OS map. Listed as ‘Enclosure’ in the SMR (1992) and the RMP (1996). A poorly preserved oval cashel (int. dims. 31m N–S; 29m E–W) defined by a substantial stone spread (Wth 3.7–7.4m; ext. H 0.8–1.6m; int. H 0.4–1.3m), overlain by a later partially collapse drystone wall with inner facing-stones visible at N, E and S (H 0.2–0.4m) and outer (H 0.8m) at W. A gap in the wall (Wth 0.8m) just E of S is flanked to E and W by thin flags on the inner wall-facing line and may be an original entrance. In line and running N from the gap a line of collapsed moss-covered stones (Wth 1–3m; H 0.2–0.6m) is traceable running N for 6m and may be the remains of an old internal division. In the interior at SSW a square structure (ext. dims. 3m x 3m) is defined by the partially collapsed remains of a single drystone wall. It may be a later animal pen inserted onto the site similar to the two small oval animal shelters (L 3.5m; Wth 1.5m) built of single walling and standing on top of the cashel wall line at N. The site of an enclosure (CL006-181----) is visible 80m SSW on Digital Globe.
