The National Monuments Service's description
On a S-facing slope of rough pasture largely overgrown with hazel, but with good views from E to SW and within a multiperiod field system (CL005-227004-). Hachured on the 1842 and 1916 eds of the OS 6-inch maps and recorded by Westropp (1899, 380) as a square ‘caher’. A square walled enclosure (diam. c. 28m) is visible on OSi orthophotograph (MapGenie 1999-2003) within a larger subsquare enclosure (diam. c. 80m). Hazel overgrowth obstructed inspection in 1998 and no clear cashel outline was identified; however, stone wall spreads (Wth 1.2-2.5m; H 0.6-1.2m) over an area of c. 150 by 150m were recorded.
