The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on flat ground at the W foot of Ailwee Hill. An inverted L-shaped 19th-century house of rough limestone with dressed quoins. The main part of the house is aligned NNW-SSE with an extension to the WSW. This house is said to have replaced an earlier 17th-century house (Spellissy 1987, 23) but there are no remnants from that date.
