The National Monuments Service's description

On a high prominent location with views from NE to NW, within a multiperiod field system (CL005-115001-). Indicated on the 1916 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. Listed as 'Earthwork' in the RMP (1996). A poorly preserved roughly circular cashel (diam. 20-21m) defined by a stone spread (Wth 1.4-1.7m) with outer wall-facing at SW (max. H 0.4) and at NW (max. H0.6m), and no clear entrance. There are two small huts (CL005-076003- and CL005-076004-) (diams. 2-2.5m) in the SW sector divided by a low bank which extends NE across the centre. A later wall runs on the outer edge from NNW-ESE and a pen abuts its interior at N. Another cashel (CL005-076001-) lies c. 30m to the SW.
