The National Monuments Service's description

At the SE base of a steep rocky crag from which several spring wells originate. Reported in October 1991 (pers. comm. Paul Walsh (SMR file)). A well-defined horse-shoe shaped mound (13m NE-SW by 12m NW-SE; max. H 1.8m) open to the NW and with an central depression (5.5m NW-SE by 3.2m NE-SW; D: 1m) faced on all three sides.
