The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a shelf of the E facing slope of a N-S ridge overlooking the Rathborney River valley in a multiperiod field system (CL005-014001-), with wide views from NE to SW.
A subcircular cashel (26.5m N-S; 27.5m E-W) defined by a wall spread (Wth. 1.5-2m) with occasionally visible internal (H 0.25-0.5m) and external (H 0.25m) facing stones. Two gaps (Wth 0.6m & 1m) lined by splaying slabs in the N wall may represent an entrance. There is a cairn near the centre and a second spread of loose stones in the S sector.
