The National Monuments Service's description

A horseshoe-shaped mound (est. dims. 9.1m E-W; 8.7m N-S) opening to the W. The greater part of the mound is at E (Wth 5.1m; H 0.8-0.9m). The mound narrows from N (Wth 4.2m; int. H 0.6m; ext. H 0.5m) to S (Wth 3.7m; int. H 0.6m; ext. H 0.6m) and decreases in height towards the W. A line of stone along the inner W extent of the mound visible at N and from NE to SSW may have been intended to prevent the mound material from falling into the oval area which likely contained the trough (dims. 2-5m E-W, c. 2m N-S). A smaller mound of material (Wth 1.5m; H 0.1-0.3m) is located further to the W (1.4-2m). An unclassified megalithic tomb (CL004-085----) lies c. 60m to the NW.
