Historique
Ce bâtiment métallique est construit à l'emplacement où se tenait traditionnellement le marché du bourg. Il s'agit d'un lieu qui a été très longtemps le centre attractif de la commune et de ses environs. Il a été construit en 1924 sous l'administration du maire Georges GOUSSARD. Sa construction s'est achevée en 1926. Jusqu'à la veille de la Seconde guerre mondiale, on y trouvait, outre les produits agricoles traditionnels, des objets fabriqués par des artisans de la métallurgie. Le dimanche, les petits producteurs de cultures vivrières s'y rassemblaient en compagnie de chaisiers, de cordiers et de vanniers. Des travaux d'aménagement ont été réalisés entre 1986 et 1987. De 1995 à 2008, il a servi d'église, en remplacement de celle, située non loin, qui était alors en travaux. Le rez-de-chaussée du marché était alors totalement clôturé par des tôles. Depuis 2010, il a été rénové et a repris sa fonction de marché. Il a été de nouveau inauguré par le maire Eric HAYOT et son Conseil Municipal, le 18 août 2010.

History
This metal building was constructed at the location where the town market had traditionally been held.
