Construite en 1954 par larchitecte Paul Nelson pour le banquier Badin, tous deux amis intimes de Georges Braque, la villa suit le principe de la maison suspendue que Nelson avait présentée avant guerre. Des murs latéraux en pierre supportent de grands portiques métalliques auxquels est suspendu létage, libérant les volumes intérieurs de tout support. History
Built in 1954 by architect Paul Nelson for banker Badin, both intimate friends of Georges Braque, the villa follows the principle of the suspended house that Nelson had presented before the war. Lateral stone walls support large metal porticoes from which the upper floor is suspended, freeing the interior volumes of any support. Fernand Léger also intervened in colouring the solid elements of the façade screens.
