Historique
L'église est construite de 1932 à 1934, dans le cadre des chantiers du Cardinal, par l'architecte Paul Flandrin. Elle est composée d'une file de trois coupoles terminée par une abside semi-circulaire. La construction extérieure est en brique avec une ossature de ciment armé. La décoration intérieure fut confiée à Jean-Pierre Laurens qui avait prévu des fresques, mais décèda avant le début de la construction. Il avait cependant réalisé un triptyque (L'Annonciation, La Vierge au pied de la Croix, l'Adoration des bergers) qui fut reproduit à fresque par Gabriel Genieis dans le bras droit du transept. Le décor intérieur fut réalisé de 1935 à 1962 sous la direction d'Yvonne Diéterle, épouse de Jean-Pierre Laurens par les élèves de ce dernier : Gabriel Genieis, Guyenot, Georges Cheyssial et Couturat. Des bas-reliefs dus à Marius Petit et Madeleine Froidevaux ornent la façade.

History
The church is built from 1932 to 1934, in the framework of the Cardinal's building sites, by architect Paul Flandrin. It is composed of a row of three domes terminated by a semi-circular apse. The external construction is in brick with a reinforced cement framework. The interior decoration was entrusted to Jean-Pierre Laurens who had planned frescoes, but died before the start of construction. He had nevertheless completed a triptych (The Annunciation, The Virgin at the Foot of the Cross, the Adoration of the Shepherds) which was reproduced in fresco by Gabriel Genieis in the right arm of the transept. The interior decoration was carried out from 1935 to 1962 under the direction of Yvonne Diéterle, wife of Jean-Pierre Laurens by the pupils of the latter: Gabriel Genieis, Guyenot, Georges Cheyssial and Couturat. Low-reliefs by Marius Petit and Madeleine Froidevaux adorn the façade.
