Observatoire installé en 1883-1884 dans une ancienne propriété construite en 1730 pour servir de relais de poste. Transformation de l'édifice par Flammarion pour aménager une coupole pour les observations astronomiques, une bibliothèque, un musée scientifique, une station météorologique et une station de climatologie agricole. En 1887, Flammarion fonde la Société astronomique de France.

History
Observatory installed in 1883-1884 in an old property built in 1730 to serve as a post relay. Transformation of the building by Flammarion to install a dome for astronomical observations, a library, a scientific museum, a meteorological station and an agricultural climatology station. In 1887, Flammarion founded the Société astronomique de France.
