Le lavoir dit « du Bernardot » a été construit en 1867 sur les plans de l'architecte Belfortain Diogène Poisat. Situé à l'ouest du village, non loin du site de l'ancien château féodal, il complète l'équipement de la distribution d'eau de la commune, dotée notamment depuis 1847 de deux lavoirs couverts. Sur une aire entièrement pavée, le lavoir est composé d'une fontaine à bassin semi-circulaire qu'alimente une pile de jet en forme de colonne octogonale, et de bassins à ciel ouvert disposés en U réunissant lavoir, rinçoir et abreuvoir.

History
The wash house known as the "Bernardot" was built in 1867 on the plans of the Belfort architect Diogène Poisat. Located to the west of the village, not far from the site of the old feudal castle, it completes the water distribution equipment of the commune, equipped in particular since 1847 with two covered wash houses. On an entirely paved area, the wash house is composed of a fountain with a semi-circular basin supplied by a jet pile in the form of an octagonal column, and open-air basins arranged in a U bringing together wash house, rinse basin and watering trough.
