Le monument sintègre à la série des enfants soldats que Blondat réalise à partir de 1916. Il est en effet lun des sculpteurs de lenfance depuis le succès de la fontaine Jeunesse quil présente au Salon de 1904. Les quatre obus français de 270 mm qui lentourent, reliés par une chaîne, proviennent du dépôt de munitions de Chemilly-sur-Yonne.

History
The monument belongs to the series of child soldiers that Blondat created from 1916 onwards. He is indeed one of the sculptors of childhood since the success of the Jeunesse fountain which he presented at the 1904 Salon.
