History
The foundation of a place of Christian worship perhaps dates back to the 9th century. The 13th-century church was enclosed within the walls of the castle, both destroyed during the Hundred Years War. The present building dates from the 15th century. Struck down by a storm in the 16th century, the bell tower was rebuilt in 1835. The church presents a single nave ending in a chevet with three gables. It opens through a portal ornamented with pointed arch voussoirs from the abbey of Fontainejean. A rood beam bearing three statues of the 15th-16th centuries separates the nave from the choir. The walls are decorated with painted decoration dated to the 19th century.
