Historique
Un édifice fortifié fut érigé, au 15ème siècle, à l'emplacement d'une ancienne forge. Le château est reconstruit, à la fin du 17ème siècle, sur la terrasse de l'édifice fortifié, dans un style classique. Au début du 19ème siècle, la façade nord de la demeure fait l'objet de remaniements, doublant ainsi le corps de bâtiment principal et flanquant ses deux extrémités de deux tours dressées sur des assises médiévales. Des communs, situés en retour d'équerre, achèvent la composition. L'ensemble du domaine a conservé ses dispositions spécifiques à la seconde moitié du 19ème siècle : ferme, lavoir, moulin, etc. L'occupation allemande, en 1940, eut pour conséquence la destruction des archives du domaine sauvegardées jusque-là.

History
A fortified edifice was erected in the 15th century on the site of an old forge. The château is rebuilt at the end of the 17th century on the terrace of the fortified edifice, in a classical style. In the early 19th century, the north façade of the dwelling undergoes alterations, thus doubling the main body of the building and flanking its two ends with two towers erected on medieval foundations. Outbuildings, situated in a return at right angles, complete the composition. The entire domain has retained its arrangements specific to the second half of the 19th century: farm, wash-house, mill, etc. German occupation in 1940 resulted in the destruction of the domain's archives which had been safeguarded until then.
