Construit entre 1935 et 1936, le siège social de l'usine Gantois comporte une structure en béton armé. La composition architecturale manifeste un souci d'ordre et de symétrie correspondant au classicisme des années 1930. La rotonde, qui domine l'ensemble, est ornée d'une grande porte aux ferronneries Art Déco et d'un bas-relief représentant l'emblème de l'entreprise, un rhinocéros. Seuls le vestibule d'entrée, la cage d'escalier ainsi que le bureau directorial ont conservé leurs dispositions d'origine.

History
Built between 1935 and 1936, the head office of the Gantois factory comprises a reinforced concrete structure. The building has an irregular plan, composed of two longitudinal building blocks, developed over three or four levels, assembled in a V and articulated around a rotunda. The architectural composition demonstrates a concern for order and symmetry corresponding to the classicism of the 1930s. The rotunda, which dominates the whole, is decorated with a large door with Art Déco ironwork and a bas-relief representing the company emblem, a rhinoceros. Only the entrance vestibule, the stairwell and the directorial office have retained their original arrangement.
