La gare ferroviaire se compose d'un vestibule monumental de plan hexagonal allongé, surmonté d'une toiture en ardoise terminée par une crête géométrique en béton. L'accès à la voie ferrée est protégée par une marquise dont les poteaux sont en fonte de fer. L'architecte a privilégié les contrastes de matériaux entre le béton lisse et peint en blanc et un traitement peigné brut. Le décor de carrelage de céramique et de verrière, les inscriptions, le mobilier fixe ainsi que les luminaires d'origine sont conservés.

History
The railway station consists of a monumental vestibule of elongated hexagonal plan, surmounted by a slate roof terminated by a geometric concrete crest. Access to the railway line is protected by a canopy whose posts are in cast iron. The architect favoured contrasts of materials between smooth concrete painted white and raw combed finish. The decoration of ceramic tilework and glazing, the inscriptions, the fixed furniture as well as the original light fittings are preserved.
