Construction d'une enceinte de 24 tours au milieu du 13e siècle. Augmentée vers le sud au 15e siècle, cette enceinte était entourée de fossés transformés en jardins en 1724. History
Construction of an enceinte of 24 towers in the middle of the 13th century. Extended towards the south in the 15th century, this enceinte was surrounded by fossés transformed into gardens in 1724. The seven town gates were demolished in the 18th century. Five towers remain. That of Anglemain, the best preserved, underwent alterations in the 18th century (dismantling of the defensive platform, piercing of a passage on the ground floor and of windows, redistribution of the levels).
