Historique
Fondée avant le 11ème siècle, la chapelle des Carmélites (anciennement église Saint-Maurice) présente une façade citée comme étant une construction de la « fin du 13ème ou début du 14ème siècles ». L'église fut acquise vers 1956 auprès de la communauté du Carmel afin d'ériger dans ce périmètre des habitations. Cependant, la façade de l'église, protégée par son inscription à l'inventaire des monuments historiques, devait être préservée et rejoindre un autre emplacement. Le porche devait ainsi être remonté soit dans le parc du château du Crochat, soit dans le jardin de l'Evêché. Ce projet avorta après la mise en évidence que le porche n'était pas d'origine et de surcroît fort abimé lors des travaux et que la façade avait été totalement restaurée au 19ème siècle après le rachat de l'élise par les Carmélites. Au vu de ces éléments, un avis favorable est donné à la radiation de la façade de la chapelle de la liste des monuments historiques

History
Founded before the 11th century, the chapel of the Carmelites (formerly the church of Saint-Maurice) presents a façade cited as being a construction of the 'late 13th or early 14th centuries'.
