Historique
Ce colombier à pied circulaire domine l'ensemble du parc du château. Auparavant situé dans un espace dégagé, il a certainement été mis en valeur au 19e siècle en tant que fabrique, située au-dessus d'un parc et d'un étang. D'après ses caractéristiques architecturales, il peut être daté des 15e ou 16e siècles. Le colombier aux murs bouclés mesure 5,5m de diamètre. Il a un toit conique recouvert de tuiles plates. History
This dovecote with a circular base dominates the entire park of the château. Previously situated in an open space, it was certainly enhanced in the 19th century as a folly, situated above a park and a pond. According to its architectural characteristics, it can be dated to the 15th or 16th centuries. The dovecote with curved walls measures 5.5m in diameter. It has a conical roof covered with flat tiles. It has the particular feature of possessing an access door raised above ground level. Inside, 533 nesting holes are superimposed. The arrangement of the nesting holes is very regular with six rows of nesting holes below and above a flight ledge. The first row is situated 40cm from the ground. The interior still preserves a potence supporting a ladder. The floor is paved.
